WILLIAM J. MILLER III, MBA

William James Miller III is a Master of Business Administration from the historic Southside of Chicago, Illinois. A proud graduate of Florida A&M University, Miller graduated Magna Cum Laude with both his Bachelor of Science in Business and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.
 
Miller has a significant amount of experience in corporate America, including working for CNA Insurance and three of the big four accounting firms, all of which offered him a full-time position upon graduation. Miller is currently pursuing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and is employed with Ernst and Young, LLP. as a Senior Associate in the Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services Practice. Miller is a former Freshman Class Vice President and Sophomore Class Vice President at Florida A&M University.  

LINDA DILWORTH, M.S.P.A

Linda Dilworth

Linda Dilworth is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for KMR Consultants, LLC.  She assumes responsibilities for production of the firm’s products and solutions, strategic planning, staff, and daily operations.  Prior to joining KMR Consultants, Linda served 30 years in the professional public sector.  She received a State of Florida senior management appointment in 1993, serving as Director of Finance for the State of Florida’s Comptroller’s Office.  In this capacity she generated and managed statewide policy and programs for Mortgage Lending, Mortgage Brokerage, Consumer Finance, Funeral and Cemetery Services, Abandoned Property, Motor Vehicle Sales Finance, Retail Installment Sales, Installment Sales Finance, Home Improvement Sales and Finance, Trading Stamps, Consumer Debt Collection, and Commercial Debt Collection. 

In 1995 Linda received senior management appointment as Assistant Secretary for Economic Self-Sufficiency Services for the Florida Department of Children and Families.  She managed the Department’s Welfare Reform program initiation and implementation and also policy and administration of TANF, Food Stamps, Medicaid, KidCare, Silver Saver, Refugee Assistance, Individual Family Grant, Emergency Family Housing Assistance Program eligibility and also Benefit Recovery and Nutrition Education programs. 

 Mrs. Dilworth is a product of the public education system of Leon County, Florida and Florida A & M University where she received a B.S. degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine.  Subsequently she attended one year of medical studies in the University of Florida’s Program in Medical Sciences, earned the M.S.P.A. degree in Public Administration at Florida State University where she also completed Public Administration doctoral coursework.

Her numerous civic affiliations include recent completion of 2nd administration as President of the Tallahassee Chapter of The Links, Inc., past Southern Area Treasurer of The Links, Inc. (serving nine (9) states, The Bahamas and South Africa), Founding Member and 1st President of Club ’54, Inc., Past Presidents of Tallahassee Chapter of The Links, Tallahassee Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Holy Comforter Episcopal School PTO, Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Silver Dome Chapter of American Business Women’s Association.   She currently serves on the Tallahassee Museum Board of Directors, Distinguished Young Gentlemen of America Board of Directors, past Vestry Member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, member of Leadership Tallahassee Class IX and past member of the Florida Impact Board of Directors.  Linda received the Gold Star Award from the Tallahassee Chapter of National Hook-Up of Black Women in 2013 and served as General Chair of the Tallahassee NAACP Freedom Fund Events of 1991 and 1993.  Her community service contributions also include the John G. Riley House Museum where she served as Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies Event General Chairperson in 1996, and Endowment Fund Campaign and Gala General Chair from 2000 through 2002.

Linda is married to Jerome Dilworth and has one adult son, J. Glendon, II, an aerospace engineer employed by Rolls-Royce and a daughter-in-law, Adde.

BRUCE T. LAMONT, PH.D.

Bruce Lamont

Bruce T. Lamont is the Thomas L. Williams Eminent Scholar in Strategic Management in the College of Business at Florida State University.  Professor Lamont received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He formerly served as the Chair of the Management Department and as Associate Dean of Graduate Programs in the College of Business at Florida State.  He is currently the Coordinator for the Strategic Management doctoral program at Florida State.  Professor Lamont also serves on the FSU Diversity and Inclusion Committee, the Subcommittee on Faculty, Staff and Student Recruitment and Retention, and as the coordinator of the Jim Moran African-American Youth Achievers Scholarship Program at Florida State.  
He has published numerous refereed journal articles, appearing in such outlets as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, and Strategic Management Journal.  He currently serves as Associate Editor of the Africa Journal of Management, on the editorial review board for the Strategic Management Journal, and as a Representative-at-Large for the Corporate Strategy Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society.  He has also served on the editorial review boards of the Academy of Management Journal and the Journal of Management, the Executive and Research Committees of the Business Policy and Strategy Division of the Academy of Management, the Board of the Strategy Process Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society, and the Board of Governors of the Southern Management Association. His current research addresses the effective management of acquisition integration processes, knowledge investments and capability development, with an emphasis on developing economies in Sub-Saharan Africa. 

MUTAQUE AKBAR, ESQ.

Mutaque Akbar
With his family tree partially rooted in the City of Tallahassee, Attorney Mutaqee Akbar has an innate and  sincere compassion for the protection of its population.  Son of notable psychologist Na’im Akbar, Attorney  Akbar’s expectations for himself have always been set high, a fact that has allowed him to be successful in his endeavors and practice. An alumnus of Atlanta, Georgia’s Morehouse College, Attorney Akbar graduated cum laude in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Pursuing an interest in law, Attorney Akbar moved to South Florida and enrolled in the University of Miami School of Law where he would again graduate cum laude in May of 2004. Attorney Mutaqee Akbar’s prowess in education, however, hardly speaks to his legal experience or proficiency. He began serving the Tallahassee region’s residents as a summer law clerk in a local firm in 2002. Since his first taste of the legal field as a clerk, Attorney Akbar has participated in the 11th, 15th, and 17th Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s office of Miami, West Palm Beach, and Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Also while attending law school Attorney Akbar served on the Moot Court Board, and as the President of the Black Law Student Association and Vice President of the Southern Region of the Black Law Student Association.
